Exciting sprinter Kam's Comet appears well placed to make a winning return this evening when due to contest the seventh event in Singapore.
A winner of seven of his 15 starts the son of Danroad admittedly mixed his form last time in but is certainly more than capable when right.
In 11 attempts on the polytrack the four-year-old has won six and placed on a further two occasions.
Kam's Comet achieved his career best at this track three starts back when simply dominant over the 1100m journey. On that occasion he won with a leg in the air defeating the likes of Good News, The General and Bellwether.
If able to run up to the level of form he looks to set a decent standard at the weights and is sure to take plenty of beating.Given the sole trial in the lead up, Kam's Comet looks in good order for his return and while arguably better over further he is clearly capable of sprinting well fresh.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings Kam's Comet rates top and while drawn a touch awkwardly he should get the race run to suit.Sebas, Southern Boss, Great Sun, Goal Keeper all look to roll forward and ensure the race is run a long at a good solid tempo.
Rizuan Shafiq legs back aboard having placed in two of three attempts and will no doubt be looking to get Kam's Comet into clear air on straightening.
Although yet to be tried in tougher company, confident Kam's Comet is the best horse in this race.Whether he shows that this evening remains to be seen however Kam's Comet is clearly a nice horse moving forward and is definitely worth sticking with.
Stablemate My Lucky Strike drops back to his pet trip and obviously has to be respected with Manoel Nunes sticking aboard.A winner of six of his 11 attempts at this course and distance including four minor placings, My Lucky Strike is clearly a force to be reckoned with.
Tried up to 1400m for the first time this preparation, My Lucky Strike notably finished second in the Group 2 Steward's Cup before finishing fourth behind Super Winner last start. While failing to come into contention on that occasion we have since seen the form franked with Super Winner proving very impressive last weekend.
From the inside draw My Lucky Strike looks to receive all the favours and is sure to make his presence felt. The James Peters trained Great Sun failed to fire last start but rates well on his effort two back and has to be kept safe.
In six attempts over this trip he is yet to miss the money including four wins.In two attempts racing third up Great Sun has placed in both and although stepping up noticeably in grade he gets in right on the limit and has to be kept safe.
Of the rest the Theo Kieser trained Sebas appears the next in line dropping back to his more favourable trip.A very impressive winner at this course and distance two back, if able to return to that level of form he shapes as one of the hardest to beat.
Has receive no favours with the draw but will no doubt roll forward and be in this for a long way.Good luck and happy punting.
