Arquette To Put On A Show At Wyong

Arquette should deliver a first up success in Friday’s 1100m Class 1 Handicap at Wyong.

The Team Hawkes-trained mare lines up in a field of seven for the final event of the program where she appears well suited.

She is one of four horses contesting the event who sit inside the handicap and her form from prior campaigns has her rating well on top for the final event at Wyong on Friday.

The mare is lightly-raced having only had three starts as a three-year-old.

The daughter of Mossman has displayed encouraging signs during that period however and possesses a master Timeform rating of 78 achieved when fourth at Rosehill behind Runway Star late last season.

Form out of that event has since held up well enough through the winner and also the runner up Coolring.

Friday’s P&O Cruises Class 1 Handicap (1100m) has been hit hard with scratchings with Lord Leofric, Adjective and Palazzo Pubblico all absent along with Kiseki Dane.

The first three mentioned all shaped as key players in the event and Arquette is the main beneficiary of their absence.

From an inside barrier, Arquette should enjoy a favourable run in transit.

As the class runner of the event, ideally she will be prominent throughout and ratings have her as clearly the one to beat.

Offairo looks the main danger off a solid showing at Cessnock where he settled back and rattled home into fourth.

He will have taken valuable fitness from the run and based on peak figures yielded in prior campaigns, can at least make things sporting.

The son of O’Reilly won’t have to settle too far off the lead in a small field and will be rattling home over the final stages.

Greenbow is an intriguing runner.

The Tim Martin-trained gelding is only lightly-raced and seemingly has endured his fair share of issues.

He resumes off a generous spell with no trials in readiness.

While a distant memory for most, a strong maiden success at Gosford over 1000m 12 months ago should be kept in mind with him resuming on Friday in a race short on depth.

Arquette on what she has shown to date however is the one who warrants the most support in Friday’s P&O Cruises Australia Handicap (1100m).
