Seuss can put last start disappointment behind him today at Gosford as he searches for a win in the Hawkesbury Race Club Weddings Benchmark 70 Handicap (1600m).
The Chris Waller-trained gelding had little luck at an ATC meeting here last time out when running fourth behind Major Major, beaten only 0.7L on that occasion.
Seuss was blocked for a run at the 150m and had he got through would have all but won after a solid outing at Kembla Grange two runs back.
Brenton Avdulla stays on board and the drop back to the provincials looks right up his ally, this his fourth run over the mile in a row.
He has not drawn the best, jumping from the widest of seven runners but with some luck looks hard to hold out.
Lucarno who comes out of the same race as Seuss looks next best, running fifth on that occasion after a win at Wyong two starts back.
Jockey Serg Lisnyy claims a much needed 2kg and he has a very good record over this distance.
Sandrio also rates a mention in this, following up a win at Newcastle with two third placings and rates a strong chance in this field.
Tommy Berry maintains the ride and expect Sandrio to be fighting this out with the other two chances.
The Shooter and Beaveroo look the best of the rest but are unlikely to be winning here. Would not be surprised to see either in the finish though and should include in the multiples.
