Trainer Peter Moody has chosen a low hey return for the Stratum mare on today's big nine race card at Kilmore, where she tackles this RB72 over 1112m.

Anklets has raced only eight times, finishing fourth on debut on heavy ground before a break.

She returned with an all the way maiden win at Donald then was too good again at Traralgon, before heading to town for the first time over 1400m at Morphettville.

There she found plenty of trouble and finished 11th, and was also injured during the race.

Returning to Victoria she appeared at Moonee Valley next and had little luck from the outset and was always well back, so was spelled again.

After sitting out the summer she resumed last autumn with an effortless win at Mornington, sitting third throughout before running away to score by 3.5 lengths.

She obviously went amiss again as she didn't race again for another seven months, before Moody gave her an easy kill fresh at Dunkeld, leading throughout to score with ease again.

Straight back to town over 1200m at Moonee Valley she crossed to lead but faced a bit of pressure there, turning there and kicking ahead again after being challenged before finally tiring to finish fourth over the final stages.

She was again spelled and resumes here after four months off.

The mare hasn't trialled but is well placed at the provincials and has always kicked off her campaigns in top form, winning three of her four tries and finishing fourth on heavy ground at the other.

From barrier one today and with stable rider Luke Nolen aboard, she will take running down.

The Rod Symons trained Turiff is worth another chance after a disappointing result when last latest.

The lightly raced gelding was unplaced in five runs last time in but did run some excellent races in tougher grade in town.

After a good spell he resumed in an RB78 over 1100m at Kyneton and ran on well to finish runner up.

He then tackled this grade over 1100m at Ballarat on a day at the tricky course the inside was certainly not the place to be.

Turning worse than midfield, the rest of the field headed to the outside fence and superior ground while Turiff stayed the fence and struggled home into last.

He is worth another go here in the same class but will appreciate the better footing and has drawn ideally in barrier two.

His ratings stack up well and can certainly bounce back.

The Robbie Griffiths trained Chelembra hasn't been able to break through since a fresh win but can do better here.

The gelding wasn't the best away last time but burnt up to share the lead, turning there and forging to the lead before being claimed out wide by the swoopers who were out on much better ground.

Senior rider Mark Zahra takes over today and with an easier run he can give a big sight again here.

Stately Dash covered ground in an honest run last time and from a good gate here can feature at each way odds.
