13:50 bet365 Mares' Hurdle (Grade 2) - Ascot
PAPAGANA is a likeable stayer still on an upward curve and she is awarded the vote after her fine recent third in Ascot's Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle. Irish-mare Magic of Light is better known for her chasing exploits but took this event 12 months ago so is feared most, while Coded Message has it to do on the form book but shouldn't be underestimated after her impressive Kempton handicap success.
14:05 Sky Bet Supreme Trial Rossington Main Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) - Haydock
EDWARDSTONE tends to take a strong hold, but hopefully the fitting of a hood will help in that respect and there's no doubting he's an exciting prospect given the strength of his form. Thebannerkingrebel clocked a good time when winning a listed event over C&D in November, so has to be well respected.
14:25 Matchbook Holloway's Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3) - Ascot
Up-and-coming hurdler BOLD PLAN justified heavy support in taking fashion at Haydock in November and a subsequent 10 lb rise may not prevent the follow up. Ballymoy won this race last year from just 2 lb lower and he's feared, while Pic d'Orhy likely has a bigger performance in him for Paul Nicholls.
14:40 Peter Marsh Chase (Limited Handicap) - Haydock
ACTING LASS is back in top form and can land this good prize with conditions set to hold no fears. Champers On Ice has been thriving over hurdles and can go well back in this sphere on what will be just his fifth start over the larger obstacles. The returning Red Indian is one to note at bigger odds.
15:00 bet365 Handicap Chase - Ascot
SAM'S ADVENTURE was 5½ lengths second to Domaine de L'Isle at Newcastle 2 weeks ago but he's 8 lb better off with that one now, and that could be enough to reverse the placings with the promising Jack Tudor taking off a further 7 lb. Espoir de Guye looked well ahead of his mark when winning here 4 weeks ago and rates a huge threat despite a 14 lb rise.
15:15 The New One Unibet Hurdle (Grade 2) - Haydock
PENTLAND HILLS can boost his Champion Hurdle claims with victory in this Grade 2. The Triumph Hurdle winner should strip much fitter for last month's Cheltenham return and remains potentially high class. None of his rivals can be dismissed though, with Darasso the potential fly in the ointment kept to 2m for his return.
15:35 Matchbook Clarence House Chase (Grade 1) - Ascot
DEFI DU SEUIL and Un De Sceaux served up a thriller when fighting out a dramatic finish to the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown last month and a repeat offering looks on the cards with Philip Hobbs's younger, and still improving, chaser set to come out on top once more and deny Willie Mullins' admirable veteran a fourth win in this contest. Janika is taken to edge out Capeland for third.
