David Nalbandian, representing Argentina, will take on Croatia's Marin Cilic in their Davis Cup quarter-final.
David Nalbandian of Argentina will face Marin Cilic of Croatia in Friday's opening singles match of their Davis Cup quarter-final on outdoor clay in Buenos Aires.
In Thursday's draw, Juan Martin del Potro was picked to play Ivo Karlovic of Croatia in Friday's second singles match.
Doubles are set for Saturday with Nalbandian and Eduardo Schwank against Cilic and Lovro Zovko. Reverse singles are Sunday with Del Potro against Cilic and Nalbandian slated to go against Karlovic.
Argentina has been the losing finalist four times, including last year against Spain. Croatia won the Davis Cup in 2005.
"We're in good shape, the preparation has been good and we know the surface pretty well," Nalbandian said.
Argentina and Croatia have met twice in Davis Cup quarter-finals, and the South Americans have won both. Argentina won in 2002 in Buenos Aires, and in 2006 in Zagreb.
