AP - Promising Australian golfer Stephanie Na has a career on the US LPGA Tour in her sights.

The 22-year-old South Australian fired a fourth-round 73 on Saturday (Sunday AEDT) to climb into a tie for 38th at the qualifying tournament with one round to go.

The top 40 and ties receive LPGA Tour membership, with the top 20 earning full status.

Na has put together scores of 70 78 71 73 to be eight-over-par 296 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.

That leaves her 18 shots behind the 20-year-old American Christine Song who holds a four stroke lead.

Rookie professional Julie Boland from Tamworth was the only other Australian to survive the fourth round cut.

She shot a 73 to be tied 63rd on 299.

WA's Kristie Smith (74, 302), Emma DeGrott of NSW (73, 303) and Melbourne's Alison Whitaker (79, 305) all failed to qualify among the 76 players who'll contest the final round.
