Trainer David Hayes has confirmed that Americain's Australian owners are keen to have the Hong Kong-based French star back aboard Americain when he has makes his Sydney debut.

Steven Arnold had his first ride on Americain when the stayer had his first start for Hayes in the Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on March 10.

His ride came under come criticism, leading to conjecture that Mosse would get a recall for the BMW over 2400m.

Mosse was the regular rider of Americain during his career under his previous French trainer Alain de Royer Dupre, riding the seven-year-old in 13 of his first 28 starts for eight wins including his major Australian victories in the 2010 Melbourne Cup, 2011 Moonee Valley Cup and 2011 Zipping Classic at Sandown.

Mosse has been granted an early release from his current Hong Kong riding contract and will end his current term on April 2.

Hayes has two Sydney races on the map for Americain with the rugged stayer also likely to contest the $500,000 Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000m at Randwick on the final day of the carnival on April 28.
