Champion Melbourne trainer Peter Moody will fire his first assault on Sydney racing from his new Rosehill stable at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
Moody has two acceptors on the low key Warwick Farm program, an early indication that he is keen to target off season meetings in Sydney now he has a small satellite stable at Rosehill.
He took possession of 10 boxes at Rosehill from January 1.
Moody's acceptors for Saturday's meeting are Grenada Road in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (2200m) and Dayita in the Ranvet Handicap (1600m).
Moody has paid young apprentice Sam Clipperton a high compliment by engaging the 3kg claimer for the ride on Grenada Road while comeback star Blake Shinn has the Mount on Dayita.
Grenada Road is a promising 4YO mare by Encosta De Lago. She has won four of her seven starts and hits Sydney seeking her third win from four starts since resuming.
At her latest start on December 24 she won over 1800m on the Hillside course at Sandown
Dayita is a three-year-old filly by Show A Heart with two wins from four starts.
She also comes off a last start Melbourne win over 1600m at Caulfield on December 26.
