The Monstar wins 2017 Ahc June Stakes Listed $150,000 at Randwick (NSW), 1100m.
The Monstar gave nothing else a chance, careering away over the last 200m to win by a wide margin over an ordinary field heavily depleted due to the heavy track. Drawing barrier four he strode to the lead from the outset yet one off the fence. Under Josh Adams, they led into the straight, adding pressure up the rise to break clear. With 200m left there were no challenges and they drew out to win easily.
Near the last corner favourite Kudero sat wide and midfield, pulled wider past the 400m and ran on without chance for a distant second.
Inz'n'out turned for home in third and battled away to hold his position from Wouldnt It Be Nice who was second at the 400m and plugged away for fourth.
