Under Clare Lindop, ultra consistent Mail It In bounced away well from barrier one and led early however, passing the 1600, they drifted to fourth on the rail. Lindop was content to save ground against the fence then approaching the last corner moved one out and handier, just in behind the pacemaker but found no room. Straightening, a gap opened, three widths out and Lindop shot Mail It In at the leaders, ranging alongside at the 200m then raced away, the race in safe keeping at the 100m for a three and three quarter length victory.
Extra Zero was last (rails) at the 1000m, equal last turning in and found space late, running into a distant second just short of the line from Flow Meter, who was well back, followed Extra Zero the length of the straight and was just a head for third.
