Moqueen wins 2016 Tab Dulcify Qlty Listed $125,000 at Randwick (NSW) 3yo, 1600m.
Moqueen settled second last, off the fence, from barrier seven and passing the 1200m was giving them all a start. At the 600m the field compacted and rider Jason Collett waited but once into the straight he pulled widest and approaching the 300m was almost alongside the leaders. With 200m left to run she grabbed a narrow lead, then drew away to win quite comfortably at the finish. It was a good victory, her second in nine starts.
Nemrud was a handy sixth around the bend, moved closer into the straight but was blocked for a run. He had to go wider for a run but it was much too late for his strong, late finish.
Earth was wide around the last corner and turning in and ran best of the rest for a solid third.
