Stocks wins 2016 Farnley Stakes Listed $100,000 at Belmont Park (WA) 3yo+, 1400m.
Five-year-old gelding Stocks broke through for his first stakes win here, his seventh win from 24 starts to date. He travelled nicely in fourth place, between runners. He got a split to challenge at the 200m, hit the front shortly afterwards and drew clear to win well.
Bedamijo was a handy third on the rails, got along the inner from the 200m and kept battling on nicely for a sound first-up second.
Military Ruler raced in second place behind a good pace. He got the better of the leader (Akhedasset) at the 200m and then kept battling on quite well to hold third in a photo.
