Go Dreaming wins 2015 Japan Trophy Listed $100,000 at Morphettville (SA), 2500m.
Consistent stayer Go Dreaming stepped up in class and fought gamely to record his fourth successive win. He began well, went straight to the front and settled nicely, setting a moderate pace. He picked up the tempo from the 600m, grabbed a break on straightening and then battled on well to score by a half neck. It was a strong staying effort and good ride by Clare Lindop.
Gamblin' Guru was fourth, one out and one back. He moved up wide rounding the home turn, got to second at the 200m and kept making ground in the sprint home for a sound second with his top weight (58kg).
Outsider Clarify was seventh, between runners, to the 600m and then kept plugging on well in the straight for third.
Favourite Zanteca was ridden quietly at the tail of the ten-horse field before moving up (under riding) approaching the home turn. She continued to steadily make ground, without threatening, for (2.6 lengths) fourth after being disadvantaged by a slow early pace.
