Last Bullet scored a narrow upset victory after missing the start and being used up to race in second position on the outside of the leader Comprende. Last Bullet pressed of the lead on cornering for home and looked under pressure. He hung in a little in the straight but kept battling on to grab an unlikely victory in the final strides of the race.
The Grey Flash was taken back to settle down in second last position. She stayed to the fence on turning for home before switching across heels and pushing into the clear at the 300m. She came with a big run on the outside to just miss.
Battle Brewing enjoyed a lovely run in third position on the fence. He got a lovely run off the back of the leader at the top of the straight and battled on gamely to just go under.
Air Apparent had every chance in the run, racing in fourth position one out one back following the winner. She was one of the first to come under pressure on cornering, before taking the home turn three wide. She put a late lunge in to just miss finishing a close (0.4 lengths) fourth.
