Pasadena Girl settled behind a packed field, racing in about seventh place on the rails side after starting from barrier one. She was travelling well, behind a very steady early tempo (first 600m 37.60) and Vlad Duric managed to ease back and across heels at the 400m. She then sprinted quickly and ran on too well in the sprint home to score a very good win, now making it two wins from as many starts and has a promising future.
Air Apparent raced close to the leading group, went to the front at the 200m and then fought on well for second.
Pursuits was handy on the rails side, just behind the leaders, challenged at the 200m and then battled on nicely for third.
Andrioli shared the lead (at a moderate early tempo) and held on for (3.5 lengths) fourth after seeming to have every chance.
