Tawteen wins 2014 Chandler Macleod Crockett Stks Listed $120,000 at Moonee Valley (VIC) 3yo Fillies, 1200m.
Tawteen was very smartly away and quickly took the lead. She then travelled particularly well at a good tempo (first 600m 34.54) before being challenged by her main rival More Radiant nearing the home turn. But she soon beat off that filly, dashed clear on straightening and went on to win impressively by three and a half lengths.
More Radiant was slow to muster early pace and settled back in fifth place, caught three deep without cover from her wide barrier (6). She made a good run to challenge the leader Tawteen approaching the home turn and then battled on quite well for second after a difficult trip.
London Lolly had a good run from barrier one, racing in fourth place on the rails. She continued through along the fence on turning for home and then fought on well to hold (3.7 lengths) third.
