Catkins wins Sheraco Stakes Group 3 $125,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo+Fillies & Mares, 1200m.
Catkins took her record to 12 wins from 24 starts, putting up a smart first-up performance. She began well and settled in fourth place, one out and one back. She moved up at the turn, took the lead at the 200m and then raced away to win easily by two and a half lengths.
My Sabeel was near last on the rails, got a nice run between horses in the straight and made up good ground for second.
Neena Rock was last at the 600m, fanned wide at the home turn and made up considerable ground for a very promising third at her first Australian start. She should appreciate further and is a mare to watch.
Maysoon was eighth, one off the rails, improved wide with cover nearing the turn and fought on quite well for (3.2 lengths) fourth.
