Classy two-year-old Aimee made it four straight wins, winning the Ken Russell Memorial.
In a tight three-way finish Aimee scored a narrow and hard fought victory.
She was away well from the barrier and took a forward position in fourth position between runners. She was taken to the middle of the track on cornering still cluttered up between horses. She kept coming on the outside to grab the leader right on the line.
Sagatona settled down in tenth position on the fence. She was travelling well approaching the home turn but had nowhere to go. Damien Browne elected to cut the corner on what was inferior ground before drifting out a little in the straight. She hit the front at the 200m but tired a little late on to be grabbed right on the line.
Goodbye Kevin raced on the outside of Sagatona. He came through in the straight with that horse and finished on gamely to only go under narrowly. The first three horse were well clear of the rest of the field.
