Sertorius grabbed the biggest win of his career with a comfortably triumph in the Bendigo Cup.
The favourite Sertorius ($3.80) enjoyed a perfect trip. He began well and settled behind the leader Tuscan Fire before moving up three wide rounding the home turn.
He took the lead at the 200m and then drew clear to score quite comfortably by a length and half.
The Lloyd Williams-raced import Massiyn was well back in ninth place to the 800m. He was held up between runners nearing the home turn, switched to the rails at the 200m and challenged shortly afterwards. But he found the winner too strong in the latter stages and held on for second.
Kesampour raced outside the leader most of the way before going to the front on turning for home. He was headed passing the 200m and then battled on for third, beaten just over two lengths.
Angola was second last in the 12-horse field to the 800m before improving from the 600m point. He then kept plugging on quite well, wide out, for a sound fourth.
Folding Gear was shuffled back to last the turn and ran on when clear late for a (four and quarter lengths) fifth, looking a little unlucky.
