Best Bets for Eurythmic Stakes Day at Ascot.

We welcome back some fine horse flesh this weekend with the running of the R.S Crawford Stakes, as well as the Eurythmic Stakes at Ascot this weekend.

The weather looks great leading into raceday following some rain on Wednesday, with the track rated a Good 4 on Thursday morning.

Best Bet of the day comes up in the sixth event on the card in the form of RICHANCO for Dan and Ben Pearce.

This gelding is a very progressive who picked up where he left off last campaign when knocking off the rust with an all-the-way victory at Pinjarra first-up.

He's ready to go to another level now and we still haven't seen the best of him with just four starts under his belt.

This looks a perfect race to return to Metropolitan grade and with further improvement expected now, he can run to a new peak rating and bring up back-to-back victories.

A big advantage for Richanco is the map. He possess a stack of early speed and he'll be able to get across and either lead or sit on the outside of the leader despite the barrier.

He looks a nice horse moving forward and he can build on his impressive record.

Heading to a wide open event for my next best of the day and that's the Stefan Vahala-trained AZTEC RULER in the Eurythmic Stakes.

In a race where the early markets have it 5-1 or 6-1 the field, the set up for Aztec Ruler looks ideal with Pike in the saddle from a handy barrier.

He should put himself close to the speed, with horses like early favourite Searchin' Roc's needing plenty of luck from out wide, the son of Universal Ruler should lob in a beautiful spot and if he runs up to his best figures as anticipated, he'll take plenty of beating.
