Morphettville is back after a week off and happy to think a promising horse is the best of the day.
Darren Weir simply cannot miss around the country at the moment and we are going to stick.
A few weeks ago we liked the 3yo Air Guitar and he was so impressive, held up until late and flashing through gaps to win.
It is never easy to go from a country maiden to win a BM64 at metro level. However he did it in some style.
He may well be heading to the Lightning Stakes in a few weeks and this looks a lovely lead up race.
If he continues to improve, he should be so hard to beat and keep that unbeaten record going. The barrier might just get us better odds.
Later on, another Weir runner Royal Music has his second run in Australia and has obviously acclimatised well.
Off some decent German form, he came from well back at Geelong three weeks ago and drew away late.
He enjoyed the damper conditions and even if Morphettville isn’t a bog, a little cut in the ground is perfect.
Against these BM70 rivals, we should still get a fair price to be able to bet given the gate.
