The start of the carnival is upon us with two G3 races at Morphettville this week.
Finding one away from the bigger races, Scarlet Billows really is a group mare taking on weaker horses.
She is first up for a long time but has a big class edge. There are a lot of horses out of the handicap here. In fact all those on the limit are badly off.
The mare has run some crackers first up and you would only need to see some money for her to say she is on her game and ready to go.
That said, even if the market is a bit easy, she could get out to silly odds.
Giving another Darren Weir runner a chance to shine in the last where El Eivino runs in the Redelva Stakes.
The half-brother to a little horse called Winx, at his last start he never came into the Oakleigh Plate sitting midfield but then again no horses did as it was dominated on pace.
Off a nice let up, he does go well early in campaigns. The colt will sit back midfield and wide but sweep home and may just be better than them.
Like our other play, we might get great odds late.
