Small fields plague this week’s meeting at Morphettville but we’ll try to find a couple of winners.
Love trying horses who back up and are up in distance and that is the case with Royal Rumble in Race 4.
He is third up now, goes out a further furlong and remember this horse did run fifth in the Taj Rossi final in July at Flemington.
His best efforts are definitely beyond 1200m and was not beaten far last week in a drive to the finish.
Will never be far away in running and as long as we aren’t taking silly odds in the end, happy to back the son of New Approach.
For the other tip, Burst Away is bursting to win a race after going well and being in and scratched a few times.
Since his last run he’s trialled successfully and gets some nice weight advantages off the older horses.
Maybe the point of difference is that he finally gets to the 1200m as well so he may not need to be bustled along in front.
A few of these have been running consistently but also not finding the line so he just needs to find that something new.
