Not a big program on the Parks track again and so value may be hard to find.
Going for a track specialist in the form of Mr Backchat to continue his current form.
He sat on the speed just last week and got over the top of them in a BM90. He’s back in grade for Saturday’s assignment.
Even before that win, he had had four wins on this circuit plus other placings.
Has a 3kg claim which makes him very dangerous in this race being not that far over the limit after that is taken into account.
Many of the others have had a few chances but as a 5yo he’s still only had 20 runs.
The Stephen Theodore trained Izenashark could be some value over the mile in the race before.
He’s been racing over shorter and been around the mark but most of his better runs have come beyond 1400m.
His speed from the gates is an advantage here as getting up on the pace on the Parks track is rarely a negative.
Were there to be a little softening of the surface, that would be nice too.
