Leica Falcon Bonafides Inquiry

Racing Victoria stewards opened an inquiry into the training bona fides of Leica Falcon and the circumstances surrounding the training of Swish Miss which competed at the Kyneton race meeting on Tuesday 30 November.

Evidence was taken from licensed trainer Arthur Pace, licensed stablehand and part owner of both horses Mr Peter Lane and telephonic evidence from licensed trainer Leslie Robertson.

It was established that both Leica Falcon and Swish Miss were not being trained in accordance with the Rules of Racing in that they were not stabled at the location shown on their respective stable returns.

Pace pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of Australian Rule of Racing 54(3) & (4) and was fined the sum of $200.

Lane pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of Local Rule of Racing 27A (1) & (4) and was fined the sum of $1000.

Robertson pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of Local Rule of Racing 27A (1) & (4) and was fined the sum of $1000.
