Sunday saw the Deauville racing fraternity start packing up for their return to Paris.

First of the Group races was the Prix Quincey where the Qatari trainer Al Jehani saddled Make Me King with James Doyle up to win we think his first Group race in France.  The favourite Topgear had to settle for second and Sea of Thieves was the third.

The Grand Prix de Deauville went to the German raider Quantanamera who paid back the patience shown in her by her trainer Andreas Suborics and all the stable.  She's been brought along steadily and now will have her confidence high.   She defeated Arrest and Sacred Spirit.

Spycatcher won the Meautry defeating favourite James's Delight with Beauvatier third.

At Baden Baden Al Shahab Storm continued Andrew Balding's good run of late by taking out the 154th Goldene Peitsche from Whispering Dream and Knock On 15/1.

And in Ireland the O'Brien juveniles provided a bit of a peep hole into the future with Henri Matisse winning the Futurity and Bedtime Story continuing her unbeaten run in the Debutante.
