Daniel Griffin and Michael Costa – Eagle Farm

Jockey Daniel Griffin and trainer Michael Costa are forming a good association and can continue that at Eagle Farm today with Flirtatious Femme in Race 7. The pair strike together at 44 per cent, with 81 per cent of their runners finishing in the top three. Both are in good form individually, each striking at 26 per cent over the last month. Flirtatious Femme is Costa’s lone runner for the day but Griffin has a good book of five rides including Divine Dice in Race 1, Destiny’s Sister in Race 2, She Goes Pop in Race 4 and Walk To The Bar in Race 9.

Michael Moroney - Canterbury

The Michael Moroney camp is firing at present, enjoying a 32 per cent strike arte over the past month. The trainer takes two runners to Canterbury today, Golden Patch in Race 4 and Fortune Patch in Race 7. Moroney also has a lone runner at Sandown – Margin Trader in Race 7.

William Pike – Belmont

William Pike is always a good bet in Western Australia and his recent statistics back that up, the jockey striking at 26 per cent over the past month. He has three rides after scratchings and has good associations with both of the trainers he is riding for, striking at 29 per cent for Grant Williams, who provides Astronomite in Race 5 and Cronkite in Race 7, and has a 24 per cent success rate with Daniel Morton, who trains Golgotha in Race 1.
