BARBADOS (Peter Snowden) - Came in for good support on debut at Warwick Farm and performed creditably under difficult conditions to finish second behind more seasoned stablemate Bello. He was very new to the game and looks a good prospect for the new season as he will take plenty from the experience. Not half bred well either being by Redoute's Choice out of G1 winning mare Virage De Fortune.

Jason Hickson

STAR OF GISELLE (Ellerton/Zahra) - Might be a bit above winter grade on her effort last time at Flemington not only on her win but the slick sectionals. Only time she's been beaten this time in was by the barrier second-up and looks pretty progressive. On breeding she should have little dramas on wet going as well.

'Aspro'

LONDON STRIPE (Robert Hickmott) - Another member of Lloyd's army of imports. Showed plenty of promise in the UK under the care of Sir Michael Stoute, his best form coming when runner-up to the handy galloper Dandino at Ascot, and still has plenty of upside if he has come through the trip down under in good order.

PIED A TERRE (Peter Snowden) - Has been a Blackbooker here before and after last week there is no reason he should be dropped off. Improved his rating on that strong Flemington win when out wide to avoid a pocket and held the margin up the straight. Typical of that stable you could imagine he might go for a spell and come back as one of their leading Carbine Club/Sandown Guineas prospects along the line of their recent winners of those races.

Wayne Bristow

CHATEAU MARGAUX (Peter Moody) - Ran on nicely over 1400m at Flemington showing a liking for the firmer going. But she seems likely to want further and could develop into an Oaks filly. Her dam Kylikwong was placed in three different Oaks and being in the leading stable is no drawback is it. A spell and maturity will help that along.
