SR 1: The smart (3) BELTANE is well turned for his return after beating subsequent winner in a three horse 1000m trial on slow going at Hawkesbury on 6 June. Hard to assess (5) TESTARYTHM as he has been in and out of work twice since he last raced in September but stable is well known for producing first-up winners. Prepared for this off two easy provincial trial placings.

SR 2-6 TALLAT (Peter Snowden): First starter attracts attention off his sharp Hawkesbury trial win over 1000m on a slow track on 6 June when he ran faster time than older horses.

SR 4-6 PLANETARIUM (Gerald Ryan): A month between runs and drop back in distance might be difficult but he showed he had maintained his fitness with a Rosehill trial win over 1050m on Tuesday when he handled the heavy going confidently.

SR 6-1 HADAAF (Joe Pride): Old stager may be getting on but he still had enough dash to win an 800m trial at Warwick Farm on 10 June. Capable of a good fresh run on favoured wet track.

SR 7-2 JARDAA (Kris Lees): Imported mare trialled over 900m at Gosford on 27 May and not asked to do much over the short trip. Watch.

SR 8-3 BONE OF CONTENTION (Gai Waterhouse): Former Kiwi has been trained up and debuts for Waterhouse stable off a 1200m Randwick trial win on 6 June. The stable loves to win first-up with these types.

NSW TRIALLERS RACING INTERSTATE:

BR 6-5 ADNOCON (Gerald Ryan): This 5yo comes off two nice trials, the last of which was a winning one at Rosehill. Remember he won this very race last year and can handle any conditions.

VICTORIA

MR 5-1 BLACK AND BENT (Robert Smerdon): The much improved jumper graduated to flat racing and was a model of consistency last season before injury struck. He has had no less than four trials in the last month to ready him up for another preparation. It will be good to see him back even if the 2040m is too short.

MR 7-1 LIGHT VISION (Robert Smerdon): Another excellent, honest performer who comes back after a long time off. He's had three trials and that should have him fine for a mile first up.

QUEENSLAND

BR 3-1 AGENT BLUE (Peter Fleming): Has run well off short breaks before and did so again in March. Had that let up and won Doomben trial last week indicating this might be the target race for him.

BR 8-12 WIN A MILLION (Kelly Schweida): Last preparation was so consistent placing every time, winning on three occasions. She flies fresh and has trialled twice in readiness for this. Loves this distance as well.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

AR 3-6 SUPER SILKS (Phillip Stokes): Nicely bred youngster making debut. Has won a recent trial and is expected to run well here.
