Top sprinter Big Evs is expected to head straight to the Breeders' Cup for his final run before heading to stud. Victorious in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at two, the Mick Appleby-trained colt has enjoyed a successful season with a win in the King George at Goodwood and a third in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot. He disappointed in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York on his most recent start, but connections will be hopeful a return Stateside could bear fruit.

The Sarah Steinberg-trained Fantastic Moon booked a return ticket to Paris for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, with victory in the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Baden at Baden-Baden. An impressive winner of the German Derby and the Prix Niel last season, he could only manage eleventh in the 'Arc' but has looked in good order again this season, placing second in the Gross Dallmayr-Preis at Munich.

Without Words defied her 40/1 starting price to land the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary on Sunday for trainer Joseph O'Brien and jockey Mikey Sheehy. The filly was expected to face a tough task against favourite Super Sox and the consistent Matilda Picotte, but she made up considerable ground in the closing stages to defy the latter by a length. The Group 3 victory represented the third success of the day for the O'Brien team.

Ollie Sangster's exciting juvenile Simmering could return to France for the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac, before ending her season at the Breeders' Cup. The daughter of Too Darn Hot has improved with every run this season, winning the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot before stepping up successfully to seven furlongs in the Group 2 Prix du Calvados.
