Newbury hosts an interesting seven-race card and Dream Of Mischief looks to hold a really solid chance in the Custom Made Chairs By KC Sofas Handicap at 7.50.

Amanda Perrett's runner looked unlucky not to break his duck on turf when an eye-catching second over a mile on quick ground at Goodwood recently. The three-year-old gelding was repeatedly looking for room at the three-furlong marker before running on strongly once in the clear and it's easy to upgrade that effort given, he was only beaten half a length at the line.

The third-placed horse has come out and subsequently landed a Newmarket handicap to give the form some substance. The drop back to seven furlongs is no issue given he scored over that trip at Lingfield last season and Amanda Perrett's charge should be capable of defying a 1lb nudge up the weights with conditions to suit.

Selection: Dream Of Mischief – General 11/4d

We head to Brighton for our second wager and Eton Blue can get back to winning ways in the Download Fitzdares For Free Race Streaming Handicap at 3.30.

The George Baker-trained five-year-old was returning from a break when second to a well-handicapped rival over twelve furlongs here eighteen days ago. That outing should have done him the world of good and although versatile regarding trip, I do like the fact he's dropping back to ten furlongs here.

A mark of 64 puts him 4lb below his last winning mark and he has proven form at the track having won here off 66 over 1m4f in August 2021.

The booking of Neil Callan looks a huge plus with the Irish-born rider in exceptional form at present with eight winners from his last twenty-nine rides.

Selection: Eton Blue – General 7/4

Brighton's Play With The Finest Bookmaker, Fitzdares Handicap at 4.00 sees eight go to post and Sir Winston ought to take some stopping in his bid to regain the winning thread.

Roger Varian's runner was disappointing at two following some promising initial efforts but seems to be going the right way now and can make amends for a second-place finish at Chepstow earlier in the month.

He gained a first career success at the ninth time of asking when scoring over course and distance and the reopposing Little Blue Boy certainly had an advantage against the stands' side rail when beating him at Chepstow last-time-out.

There should be plenty of pace for him to aim at here with Ideal Guest likely to take the field along and with Aidan Keeley now claiming 5lb he's effectively just 1lb higher than when scoring here two starts ago.

Selection: Sir Winston – General 13/8
