Kevin Ryan's charge finished third behind Ascot prospect Cuban Thunder in a hot maiden over course and distance in mid-May, where he suffered a hampered start and shaped as though he would improve for the experience.
Land Lover returns to easier competition after finishing a very credible fifth in the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom Downs and it seems only a matter of time before the son of Land Force breaks through for a win.
What's The Story will be aiming for back-to-back victories in the 1m1f Class 4 Ice Co Supporting Macmillan Handicap (4:50). He started the year with mixed fortunes in Bahrain and has improved since returning to turf in the UK, picking up a second behind the re-opposing Pisanello at Hamilton Park before winning over a mile at Carlisle.
He's unexposed over the trip with excuses for his three attempts (twice in Bahrain and in the Cambridgeshire Handicap) and is a previous winner at the track.
Apprentice jockey Kaiya Fraser is looking one to watch and he rides The Green Man in the 6f Class 4 Clean Up With PPS Handicap (5:25). The Joseph Parr-trained runner was a short head victor of a Doncaster handicap in May on good ground and has a good record on a quicker surface, winning on good-to-firm at the same track last year.
Kaiya's 7lb claim is an additional bonus for the four-year-old and trainer Joseph Parr has sent out two winners in the last fourteen days.
Bollin Margaret looks a safe bet in the 1m4f Class 3 Queen Mother's Cup Handicap (For Female Amateur Jockeys) (2:00) with a consistent recent record whilst Eligible can take advantage of a fair mark in the 7f Class 3 Sky Bet Handicap (2:35).
