Mick Channon hoping Harlequeen can get back on winning trail

Mick Channon is eager for Harlequeen to return to winning ways after she ran another big race to finish third in the Irish Oaks on Saturday.

In matching her finishing position from the Investec Oaks, Harlequeen finished closer to Architecture than she had at Epsom, being beaten just a length and a quarter.

Harlequeen has only a maiden win to her name, so Channon is well aware she would not carry a penalty even if she is dropped into Listed company.

"She's proved she's a class act and I've no complaints about the result," he told www.mickchannon.tv.

"She's yet to win a Listed or Group race so will carry no penalties and we need to get her winning again.

"It'll happen, it's just a case of taking stock before we decide on our next move."
