Trainer Aidan O'Brien has nominated Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Wrote for Sunday's Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, a race he won with subsequent Derby winners Galileo and High Chaparral.
Wrote finished third to stablemate Daddy Long Legs on his only start this season in the UAE Derby at Meydan and is a 33-1 chance for the Investec Derby next month.
O'Brien has also sent the likes of Fame And Glory, Dylan Thomas, Yeats and Recital out to win Leopardstown's 1m2f Group 2.
The trainer, who already has the red-hot Derby favourite in the shape of Qipco 2,000 Guineas winner Camelot, is also set to test the Derby credentials of David Livingston and Ernest Hemingway in the coming weeks.
He said on Sunday: "Wrote is a possible for theDerrinstown Stud Derby Trial on Sunday. David Livingston may run in the Chester Vase at Chester and I don't know about Ernest Hemmingway. Maybe the Dante. We'll see what happens."
