The daughter of Saint des Saints was ridden close to the pace throughout and jumped the obstacles well showing a professional attitude. Trainer, Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé enjoyed a first and third in the highlight race. The winning mare was still on the bridle approaching the final fence and pulled clear for a one and three-quarter length success. |

Jockey, Bertrand Lestrade settled the winner just worse than midfield throughout with a sensible pace being set by Garkapstar on the testing ground conditions. He jumped the last hurdle in style and demonstrated good pace up towards the line. |

He was settled in midfield early on and made his big race move with 1000m to go opening up by six lengths as he jumped the Bull-Finch. His lead from then was only increasing until the final 100m when tiredness was visible but he prevailed. |

Only a small but select field contested the Lyon-Parilly feature on Sunday, but the star of the show, Cleangame came from last to first when he made his big move with a circuit to run. Jean-Michel Bazire and Jean-Paul Gauvin kept fighting for the leading position down the far side but the winner kept that position in the final 800m. The nine-year-old did not win by far but did get the job done achieving a five timer and a 41st overall career win. |
