Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.

Manicure (Race 1) is one of a couple of runners backed in the opener but his has been the best go, firming in two-and-a-half points to $4. The Godolphin filly is a daughter of good juvenile sire Exceed and Excel and should be well educated after three public trials.

Launch Code (Race 2) is a hot favourite having been backed into and odds-on quote at $1.80, 30 cents shorter than his opening price. The James Cummings three-year-old resumes having debuted with a Canterbury second last campaign and tuned up for his return by winning a recent Randwick trial.

Mazaz (Race 4) opened well into each way odds but has tightened more than two points to $4.80 with TopBetta fixed odds. The import wasn’t far away at the provincials last start and the longer trip should suit.
