Prince Jacko (Race 1) is on the verge of an odds on quote at $2 having shortened 60 cents since markets opened. He is working up to a win having placed at his last three and the punters believe today will be his day.

Walshie (Race 5) has been a steady firmer this morning and at $3.10 is the best part of a point shorter than his best price. He won at this course two starts back and his other career victory came at this distance range.

Lord Macau (Race 6) opened at double figures but is now third pick in the market at $5 having shortened seven points. The Waterhouse-Bott runner has been going around in some strong events of late and was a Warwick Farm winner four starts back.

Pemberley (Race 7) is one of a couple to be backed in the Wagga Gold Cup but his has been the best go, in a massive ten points to $5 since betting commenced. He ran in the Caulfield Cup last spring and will be fitter for one run back in Melbourne this time in.
