Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Sandown.

Mutin (Race 1) has more than halved his opening quote to $2.35 with TopBetta to take over as favourite. The lightly-raced three-year-old has shown good promise with runner up efforts at both runs and looks ready to break through.

Survived (Race 2) is another backed into favouritism at $3.80, almost a point shorter than his first quote. He steps back to a benchmark after running in the Colac Cup last start and usually races well in this distance range.

Craven Image (Race 7) could be worth an each way ticket at $5.50 having more than halved his initial price. Expect he needed the run first up and could be an improver with that outing under his belt.
