Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Sandown.

Moon Drops (Race 1) could be worth an each way ticket in the day’s opener, having shortened five points from a double figure quote to $6. The lightly-raced filly was just pipped when resuming at Yarra Valley and although in the city this time she should be better for that outing.

Cosmic Set (Race 4) has taken over as favourite having more than halved his opening quote to $2.80. The Mick Kent-trained gelding charged home to win at Yarra Valley on debut and should take another step forward with the benefit of experience.

Playful Rosie (Race 6) has moved to the top line of betting at $4.20, in close to two points on her opening quote. She is in top form winning her last two starts and the punters believe she can make it a hat trick today.
