The Money Trail – Warwick Farm, November 16

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.

Calanda (Race 1) has been a big firmer since betting commenced and has firmed three points to an odds on quote at $1.90. The Team Snowden gelding has raced only once for a close second at Hawkesbury and resumes off a close second in a recent Randwick trial.

Nonpareil (Race 3) has taken over at the head of the market at $2.50 after shortening more than a dollar since markets first went up. The filly has been a beaten favourite at both runs this time in but the punters are being forgiving and giving her another chance to break through.

Duty Dude (Race 6) remains at each way odds at $5.50 despite shortening two-and-a-half points since betting commenced. His form tapered off last campaign but he has a win and a second from two fresh runs and should be ready to fire off two trials, winning the latest at Rosehill.
