Pablo's Express (Race 2) has been heavily-backed and is now second pick in the market at $4 after more than halving his opening quote. The High Chaparral gelding is on debut for Greg Eurell and finished midfield in a recent trial but the money push suggests he can improve plenty on race day.

Hussor (Race 5) is challenging for favouritism at $2.90 after shortening close to a point since markets opened. He charged home at his resuming run at this track to miss by a nose and should be suited at the longer trip with extra fitness and experience on his side.

Extra Choice (Race 7) is better known at longer distances but the money suggests he can race well fresh having firmed three points but still offering each way value at $5.50. He didn’t fire in two stakes runs last campaign but won the Geelong Classic last spring and has won fresh before.
