Pentire Keeps Proving His Worth

Pentire, a long-standing elite stallion among the New Zealand sire ranks, continues to renew his gold card status.

Recent results by Pentire, Rich Hill Stud’s foundation sire, follow on from another lucrative yearling sales series at Karaka where his progeny sold for up to $240,000.

The champion son of Be My Guest has produced six recent winners and a G1 performer in the home and away markets.

Go-Getter opened his account in Hong Kong while the home-bred Dragon G has furthered his record in Singapore.

In Melbourne his son Entirely Platinum finished a gallant runner-up in the G1 Orr Stakes while Group performer Scelto was back to his winning ways in the Colac Cup.

Return Soldier was also victorious in Victoria.

Pentire’s stock starred in New Zealand at New Plymouth where his classy daughter Chenille staked her claim for the G1 New Zealand Oaks with a commanding victory in the classic prelude.

In the south, The Fascinator led home a Pentire quinella on the Southland Guineas under card when she downed Take Fire.

“He’s an elder statesman now and he’s still fit, healthy and happy so that title sits comfortably,” said Rich Hill studmaster John Thompson.
