Strada Youngster Shines In Macau

Strada youngster Lucky And Wealthy lived up to his name at Taipa in Macau on Sunday with a narrow win in the Listed Lisboa Juvenile (1200m) on Sunday.

Lucky and Wealthy notched career win four at start 10 when he finished too well to beat Smiling Happy by a nose.

Prepared by Geoff Allendorf, Lucky And Wealthy was originally purchased by Queensland trainer John Wallace for $9000 from the draft of Goodwood Farm at the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast.

He then made $14,000 when purchased by Magic Millions, acting as agent for his current Macau connections, at the National Horses in Training Sale four months later.

Lucky And Wealthy is the second stakes winner for young Danehill sire Strada, also the sire of Brisbane stakes winner Charm's Honour.

The new Macau star is one of five winners produced by the Zabeel mare Star Above.

Star Above is from the Major Sport mare Belaya and hails from the same family as the Group winner That's The One.
