Cox Plate winner Shamus Award struck a purple patch siring with seven winners in just five days including his first stakeswinner.
The dual G1 winning stallion was represented by his first black type winner when Classic WeiWei posted a tough victory in the Port Adelaide Guineas at Morphettville on April 13.
Other top performers by Shamus Award this season include the aptly-named Mr Quickie, winner of seven races from ten starfts including the Mornington Guineas, and the stakes-placed Causeway Girl.
Shamus Award is also the sire of Rosina Koronup, the promising winning half-sister to She Will Reign and Time to Reign trained by Bjorn Baker.Baker is looking at a Brisbane winter campaign for the filly.
