Morphettville Treble For Ambidexter

Young South Australian-based sire Ambidexter sired three successive winners on the Morphettville program in Adelaide on August 25.

The emerging son of Commands was represented by the winners Amberdi, Modulate and Dexelation with the trio – all 4YOs from his first crop - coming from three different stables.

Ambidexter stands at Cornerstone Stud in the Barossa Valley with managing director Sam Hayes pointing out that the stallion has only had 18 runners.

"To win three in a row in the city is good for any stallion, let alone one that's only got 18 runners in his first crop," Hayes said.

Amberdi, trained by Sue Jaensch, has won four from six starts, Modulate (Richard Jolly) has five wins from 15 starts and Dexelation (Niki O'Shea and Ashton Downing) has won six of his 15 outings.

Dexelation was bought for $12,000 at the Adelaide Magic Millions Sale and Modulate cost $42,500 at the same sale.

Modulate's dam North Bound (Real Jester) is from the G3 winner Princess Plume, a half-sister to stakes winner Visual Displays.

Cornerstone Stud purchased Ambidexter after he began his stud career under the Darley banner.
