Magic Millions graduates starred around the country on Easter Saturday with five horses sold by the company winning stakes events.
LEVENDI (Pierro x Lipari by Redoute’s Choice) led the way with an impressive win in the G2 Tulloch Stakes at Rosehill to book a berth in the G1 ATC Australian Derby at Randwick.
The win was celebrated by Twin Hills Stud after their purchase at last year's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale of Lipari, who has since produced a More Than Ready filly.
Levendi is one of seven stakes winners by Pierro (Lonhro). The son of Snitzel races in the colours of Dynamic Syndications and was a $120,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale buy in 2015 from Macquarie Stud. He has earned connections about $750,000 from his 18 starts to date.HEART OF A LION (Lion Heart x Madame Flurry by Perugino) scored a brilliant win in the Listed Oakbank Stakes as the famous South Australian Easter meeting at Oakbank.Prepared by Morphettville trainer Lloyd Kennewell, Heart Of A Lion overcame a big weight to impressively win the feature flat race at the famous Adelaide Hills track.
Heart Of A Lion was a $42,000 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale buy from Mill Park and is the fourth stakes winner produced by Madame Flurry, her others being G1 winner Happy Trails, Danish Twist and All Too Huiying.Heart Of A Lion is the 41st stakes by former shuttler Lion Heart, who now stands at the Karacabey Stud Farm in Turkey.
FRIAR FOX (Blackfriars x Pearlesque by Statoblest) emerged as the filly to beat in the WA Oaks with an easy win in the Listed Natasha Stakes at Ascot.Prepared by Justine Erkelens, Friar Fox was bred and sold by leading WA breeders Scenic Lodge and cost Erkelens just $14,000 at the Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
Friar Fox is the 38th stakes winner by Blackfriars, who stood at Scenic Lodge until his death last year.
