Musir, the highest Timeform rated son of champion sire Redoute's Choice, has returned to Coolmore Australia to begin his stud career.
Commenting on his arrival, Coolmore's stud manager Peter O'Brien said; 'He arrived on Saturday and looks fantastic.
“It's a homecoming of sorts for him as he was bred here on the farm and was an outstanding yearling that has grown into a particularly good looking horse.
“'He's a very strong, correct colt with lovely quality and he's going to be a very impressive horse once he's had an opportunity to let down.
“I'd strongly encourage breeders to come and have a look at him in advance of the breeding season - they won't be disappointed.”
Redoute's Choice has established a fine record as a sire of sires to date while Musir's dam is a stakes placed daughter of champion sire Encosta de Lago.
Musir shares his third dam with Japanese champion sire King Kamehameha.
A winner of six group races, more than any other colt by Redoute's Choice, Musir was a champion at two and three in South Africa and Dubai and retires to stud win impeccable credentials.
He will stand his first season at stud at Coolmore Australia at a fee of $16,500 and is available for inspection by appointment.
