New Bay's fee doubles

Lope De Vega's fee remains at €125,000 at Ballylinch Stud

Ballylinch Stud released their 2023 fees on Wednesday and New Bay (Dubawi) will stand his seventh season for €75,000, twice the fee he stood for this year. 

The son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) stood his first season in 2017 for €20,000 and this year has enjoyed a very successful one the track with Saffron Beach adding to her Group 1 tally while at Ascot last month Bay Bridge took out the Group 1 Champion Stakes (1m2f), the race after Bayside Boy captured the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (1m). 

After that race, Ballylinch Stud announced that Bayside Boy would join their 2023 roster and his fee has been set at €15,000. 

Lope De Vega (Shamardal) is the most expensive on the Ballylinch Stud roster with his fee remaining at €125,000. 

The roster is completed by Make Believe (Makfi) who will stand for €10,000, down from €17,500 in 2022 and Waldgeist (Galileo) whose fee has been reduced slightly from €15,000 to €12,500.
