The late Cornerstone Stud stallion Zebedee (Invincible Spirit) sired 11th stakes winner on Sunday courtesy of Pogo’s (4 c ex Cute by Diktat) victory in the Midsummer Stakes (Listed, 1m) at Windsor.

The four-year-old colt scooted clear to beat Urban Icon (Cityscape) by a dominant five and a half lengths with another three quarters of a length back to Foxtrot Lady (Foxwedge).

Purchased by Mags O’Toole for €10,500 at the 2016 Goffs Ireland November Foal Sale, before making £32,000 at the 2017 Goffs UK Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale when selling to Sackville Donald.

The colt is out of Cute (Diktat), who is herself a half-sister to multiple Group 2 winner Arabian Gleam (Kyllachy) and dual Listed winer Kimberalla (Kyllachy) and the dam of Skia (Motivator) and Tropias (Excellent Art).

Meanwhile, Cute is also the half-sister to Pikaboo (Pivotal), who produced this year’s 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) winner Love (Galileo), Lucky Kristale (Lucky Story) and Group 3-scoring duo Peach Tree (Galileo) and Flattering (Galileo).

Zebedee stood at Cornerstone Stud in South Australia until his death last year.
